Fleur de Peau
Fleur de Peau
A tribute to the mythical love between Psyche and Eros, which led to the birth of their daughter, Hedone. The scents that best translate this legend into perfume: musks. At the heart of Fleur de Peau, they are in turn cottony, downy and soft. Highlighted with iris and ambrette seed, they reveal their full, tactile dimension.
As a child, Yves Coueslant, one of diptyque’s founders, spent his summers in Do Son, on Ha Long Bay, where the sea breeze carried the heady, spicy scent of tuberoses. Do Son has the persistence and intensity of a memory of a childhood in Indochina: a memory, sumptuous and full, of a flower.
How does one celebrate Paris? For diptyque, only chypre, a legendary accord with a thousand facets, could pay worthy tribute to the city of a thousand faces. A bouquet of roses verging on excess follows fresh bergamot spiced with pink peppercorns. A declaration of freedom: instead of moss, patchouli brings a woody and luminous character.
Orphéon is the olfactory portrait of an unforgettable place in the Saint-Germain district of 1960s Paris. In the warm atmosphere of this late-night bar, people lingered to the rhythm of jazz tunes and artistic friendships. The world was put to rights amid this joyful effervescence, between wisps of tobacco, the powdery trails of make-up and the familiar comfort of polished wood. A composition conceived as an olfactory memory, where the warmth of tonka bean meets the depth of cedar and the vivacity of juniper berries.
A memory of the holy forests of Indochina, and of the velvety, milky scent of sandalwood burned in temples. Yves Coueslant, one of diptyque’s founders, never forgot this fragrance from his childhood, which is majestically brought to life here with Mysore sandalwood.

The Diptyque story began in Paris at 34 boulevard Saint-Germain with, at its heart, three friends driven by the same creative passion. Christiane Gautrot was an interior designer, Desmond Knox-Leet, a painter, and Yves Coueslant, a theater director and set designer. The first two collaborated designing fabrics and wallpaper for Liberty and Sanderson.
The collection of personal fragrances, skincare and home fragrances are imprinted with a distinctive and particular olfactory signature. The creations express themselves in unusual ways to delight loyal and initiated fans and enlightened novices.
Always appropriate. Always appreciated. Classic. Timeless. Diptyque.
