Trudon

Founded in 1643, during the reign of vibrant French King Louis XIV, Cire Trudon is the oldest Candlemaker in the world still active today.

Throughout the 17th century, the manufacturer became the Royal Wax Manufacturer and official supplier in the French court, and was a special favorite of Napoléon Bonaparte. Cire Trudon received a Gold Medal during the 1889 Universal Exhibit, as well as many other awards for the outstanding quality of its candles and wax.

Today, each candle is still dripped and made by hand in its factory in Normandy, and Trudon enlists world-class Master Perfumers to create fragrances for the stories it wishes to tell in its exceptional perfume collection, perpetuating the luxury manufacturing, skills and mission of its founder, Claude Trudon.
