The purified Caribbean seawater contained within the formula is combined with mango butter in a non-greasy oil-in-water emulsion. The body lotion is created by a cold manufacturing process, which ensures that the ingredients retain their beneficial properties. With emollient and moistening virtues, glycerine completes the nourishing and moisturizing effect of the mango butter, while maintaining the water content of the epidermis.

The mango tree (Mangifera indica L.) is an evergreen native to India and Burma. It is widely cultivated in the Caribbean for its fleshy fruit that is rich in vitamin C and has a sweet, aromatic flavour. The mango was introduced into the West Indies in the 18th century to provide food for the colonists and slaves, and is now grown in many private gardens. Mangos are one of the most commonly eaten fruits in the Caribbean islands. The very juicy flesh surrounds a flat, smooth stone, in the middle of which is a large almond that contains a creamy, yellowy fat known as mango butter. This precious oily substance, obtained by cold-pressing the stone, boasts emollient virtues. Extremely rich in fatty acids (including isostearic and oleic acids), and containing unsaponifiables (phytosterols, oleic alcohol, squalene and polyphenols), it creates an excellent protective barrier for the skin and helps regenerate the epidermis.
