Founded in 1643, the House of Trudon became famous for its superior, clean-burning candles. By 1719, it had become the Royale Wax Manufacture. Trudon candles once lit the main churches in Paris. This particular candle format is the same one that was used to light the King's apartments in Versailles. They are made in Trudon's Normandy workshop. Overcoated in exclusive colors, Royales candles are created from superior quality wax. They are dripless and smokeless.
Burn time: 14 hours.
- In order to obtain the best burn, first make sure your candle fits properly and stands upright in a candlestick, candelabrum or chandelier.
- Always keep the candle away from drafts.
- Always keep a distance of at least 3 inches between each burning candle.
- The wick should not exceed 0.5 inch.
- Never let your candle burn unattended, or within reach of children or animals.
Founded in 1643, on the threshold of the reign of Louis XIV, Cire Trudon is the oldest Candlemaker in the world still active today.

Throughout the 17th century, the manufacturer became the Royal Wax Manufacturer and official supplier in the French court, then to Napoléon Bonaparte. Cire Trudon received a Gold Medal during the 1889 Universal Exhibit as a reward for the outstanding quality of its candles and wax.

Trudon enlists well-known “noses” to create perfumes for the stories it wishes to tell. Each candle is still dripped and made by hand in its factory in Normandy, perpetuating a luxury manufacturing which helps perpetuates the skills of its founder, Claude Trudon.
