Sage's botanical name comes from the Latin word "salvere", which means, "to be saved." There are over 900 species of Sage worldwide, with 19 of them having their origins in California. Among these native species are Hummingbird Sage, Pitcher Sage, Black Sage, Purple Sage, and White Sage — all currently growing wild at the Estate. The abundance of Sage in the Garden inspired the aroma of this Candle. It’s deeply cleansing and camphorous, softened by a hint of sweetness.

Notes:
Straightforward fresh sage, crisp, green, and purely herbal.

Cotton wick.
Fully recyclable glass.
Hand poured in Los Angeles.

When burning your candle for the first time, allow it to burn for 2 to 3 hours (but never more than 4), until the top layer of the wax has completely melted. This will prevent the wax from tunneling around the wick.

It is recommended to keep the wick trimmed to 1/4 inch at all times to prevent the candle from emitting smoke or the wick falling into the wax.
100% Vegetable Wax.
In the 1940s, a pair of handsome, determined entrepreneurs arrived in California to build their vision of an earthly paradise high in the hills above Los Angeles.

The Estate’s sprawling garden is now home to over 150 new botanical species, including a vibrant orchard with apples, citrus, plums, pears, avocados, macadamia nuts, olives, and peaches. Together, they provide food and home to a variety of welcome guests, including hummingbirds, owls, butterflies, and bees.
