Santa Maria Novella Pharmacy (Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella) is the oldest pharmacy in the world that is still in operation. Dominican monks established the apothecary in Florence, Italy when they began growing herbs to make salves, balms and medicines for use in their infirmary. News of the extraordinary quality of their products spread far and wide, and in 1612 the monks opened their doors to sell their tinctures, potions, perfumes, soaps, and candles to the public.
Today the pharmacy still uses only natural raw materials of the highest quality, and continues to follow the ancient procedures and methods originated by the Founding Fathers. Most of the medicinal herbs used are grown locally, and products are never tested on animals.
Guests will have the pleasure of receiving a specially-curated Discovery Kit featuring samples of eight Santa Maria Novella Eaux de Parfum fragrances: L'Iris Eau de Parfum, Bizzarria Eau de Parfum, Magnolia Eau de Parfum, Gelsomino Eau de Parfum, Acqua Eau de Parfum, Quercia Eau de Parfum, Ambra Eau de Parfum and Incenso Eau de Parfum. The package will arrive at your home before the event so we can all join in the fun together! The Registration Fee for this event is $35.00, and you will be gifted with a $10.00 credit toward the purchase of a Santa Maria Novella fragrance.
