Bois Imperial Perfume by Quentin Bisch
Freshly crushed spicy Thai Basil leaves meet the sparkling peppery and citrussy facets of Nepalese Timut Pepper absolute. A green, rich and earthy Haitian Vetiver oil echoes with Georgywood – an exclusive molecule with powerful cedarwood tones. This vibrant woody blend is illuminated by the sophisticated floral note of freesia Petalia. and majestic Akigalawood, an exclusive natural ingredient, is upcycled from Patchouli through an innovative biotechnology process. At the base, the unique spicy-woody character is enhanced by a rich Indonesian Patchouli oil and a powerful, sustainable note of Ambrofix.
Why we're addicted: This fragrance is a brilliant combination of contrasting notes that meld perfectly with the bold woody signature of the fragrance.
A sustainable Thaï basil and black pepper from Timut opens this fragrance, followed by a sustainably produced Haitian Vetiver, and freesia notes by Petalia. The heart is built around Akigalawood, an exclusive natural ingredient upcycled from unused Patchouli parts, sustainably produced from Indonesia. Sustainably produced Pathchouli from Indonesia brings spicy notes, together with a sustainable Ambrofix.
About the Perfumer
Quentin Bisch’s energy makes the air around him electric as he talks about scents. This all- encompassing passion is what brought a music student and artistic director at a theatre company to perfumery. A one-month internship in Grasse was all it took to find his true path in life and then devote the next several years to studying fragrance composition. The arts continue to inspire Quentin. He creates perfumes in the same way he might direct a theatre performance using strong ideas, spirited embellishments and surprising effects. He has been honored as Best Perfumer in 2020, and has created fragrances for Jean Paul Gaultier, Paco Rabanne, Saint Laurent, Azzaro, Mugler, Chloe, Ex Nihilo, and Etat Libre d’Orange.
