Pure Akoya Pearl Powder, unlike conventional pearl powders—which are typically made by grinding whole pearls—Chidoriya's formula takes purity to an entirely new level. At the core of each pearl is a nucleus, a bead made from freshwater mussel shell. When whole pearls are ground, the resulting powder is a mix of Akoya oyster nacre, shell fragments, organic material, and other impurities. At Chidoriya, they partnered with leading university researchers to solve the long-standing challenge of isolating pure nacre. Through a specialized extraction process, they separate and collect only the nacreous layer from Akoya oysters, completely removing the nucleus. The result is a 100% pure Akoya nacre powder—free from contaminants, fillers, and additives.
