Eau Capitale Hand Cream
SKU: 42961
Like a tribute to Paris. For Diptyque, only a chypre - the accord with a thousand facets - could portray this city with a thousand faces. Bergamot - given extra bite by pink peppercorn - is followed by roses, and moss gives way to patchouli. Paris in a hand cream.
With a rich texture and a formulation of aloe vera and macadamia oil, this hand cream perfumes the hands in a simple, exquisitely delicate gesture. Made in France.
The Fragrance Gestures draw their inspiration from the history of perfume, reinventing textures to offer a new approach to personal scenting. It is a way to make the invisible sensual, and the ethereal tangible. Each of the gestures - eau de toilette, perfume oil, body mist, body balm and hand cream - has a specific concentrate designed to offer the best olfactory rendering depending on its formulation. With its high concentration, it can often be used alone depending on the moment and the mood. Matter becomes scent, scent becomes matter...
The Fragrance:
For diptyque, only chypre, a legendary accord with a thousand facets, could pay worthy tribute to the city of a thousand faces. A bouquet of roses verging on excess follows fresh bergamot spiced with pink peppercorns. Freedom claimed: this time not moss, but patchouli. An Eiffel Tower, roses, flowing calligraphy, a peacock with its tail fanned, volutes, lines intertwined... To illustrate Eau Capitale, diptyque and Pierre Marie drew their inspiration from Parisian architecture and iconic Art Nouveau buildings.

The Diptyque story began in Paris at 34 boulevard Saint-Germain with, at its heart, three friends driven by the same creative passion. Christiane Gautrot was an interior designer, Desmond Knox-Leet, a painter, and Yves Coueslant, a theater director and set designer. The first two collaborated designing fabrics and wallpaper for Liberty and Sanderson.
The collection of personal fragrances, skincare and home fragrances are imprinted with a distinctive and particular olfactory signature. The creations express themselves in unusual ways to delight loyal and initiated fans and enlightened novices.
Always appropriate. Always appreciated. Classic. Timeless. Diptyque.
