Sangre de Fruta Botanical was founded by Allison Audrey Weldon. Allison has worked in fashion and costume for film for the past decade, which has allowed her the opportunity to live in Melbourne, Australia and London, UK. In 2010 Allison returned to her roots in Vancouver, finding solace in living on the edge of the ocean, growing her balcony garden and seemingly exponential number of house plants, all the while learning about holistic health and natural perfumery.
In order to satisfy her need to ground herself by connecting to the earth, Allison started gardening, making infused oils from plants and making body products in her spare time. Her aim for Sangre de Fruta is to bring the beauty of the botanical world into peoples' lives, if even for one moment a day. She believes there are great changes needed in the beauty industry, and that she can be a part of that change.
"This is an elevated basic cleanser with unique botanic ingredients. Does not lather a ton, but seems to remove makeup well, although I can't speak to mascara. I wouldn't say it smells like myrrh, but it does have luxury-medicinal smell that is pleasant, although I could see some disliking. So far it fits the bill. I also feel like it is maybe has sped up the healing process for blemishes - although it is could be coincidence and is so hard to tell on these things. Definitely doesn't have any residual moisturizing properties, so perhaps not for those with dry skin. Too soon to tell i it is worth it at this price point."

"Surprisingly, a bit drying on surface! Also, If you have buildup underneath the surface it may create a lot of purging For that reason only I will not continue this wash"
