Fragonard is a French Fragrance House founded by Eugene Fuchs in 1926 in Grasse, the heart of Provence in the South of France. A creative entrepreneur who had been seduced by the magic of perfume, he set up his perfumery based on the novel concept of selling scented products directly to the tourists who were beginning to discover the French Rivera’s charms. He named Parfumerie Fragonard after the famous Grasse-born painter, Jean-Honoré Fragonard, and as a tribute to his beloved town of Grasse. This spirit of the House has been loyally perpetuated by several generations who have taken over the reins of running the company, and new creations launch every year to continue the dream of a beautiful Fragonard Universe.
