A savory, tangy, mouthwatering, spice blend created in collaboration with bestselling cookbook author Nik Sharma. This blend is inspired by the homemade Indian pickles Nik grew up eating in coastal India.
Indian pickles differ from the pickles of the West, while those usually involve gherkins soaked in vinegar or pickle brine, Indian pickles are far more complex.

Achars as they are more popularly known as consist of fruits, vegetables or meats, fermented in salt, oil and hella spices for days until it turns into fiery, tangy magic that sneaks its way into every meal. This Achari Masala packs all the flavor you need to make anything achari or even to add a zing to your daily cooking.

Don’t stop at lemon achar, try it with limes, kumquats, and any citrus with a peel that isn’t too thick (skip things like grapefruit).

Season parboiled, halved baby potatoes with Achari Masala and a couple tablespoons ghee, roast at 425°F, shaking halfway through, until deep golden, 40 to 60 minutes.
