It’s fair to say that when it comes to joyful and distinctive designs there aren’t many artists like The Printed Peanut. With a similar love of taking inspiration from old print ephemera as well as injecting humour into designs, Archivist collaborated with Louise Lockhart, the creative behind the business, to produce a fun and really rather striking range of matchboxes. Inspired by Mexican folk art, Louise originally created these designs using tomato puree tins and scissors.

The designs are printed on beautiful textured board and printed using traditional letter press printers to give a wonderfully tactile & special finish. Many designs take inspiration from traditional match box covers which give them a wonderfully authentic, vintage look. They make the perfect gift for friends and family whatever time of the year!
Whilst fun is at the heart of everything the team at Archivist does, they also take the protection of the planet seriously - all sticks are sourced from strictly controlled FSC certified woodlands whilst similarly all packaging is compostable & eco friendly.
