Long-admired for its restorative properties, the fragrance of lavender creates an oasis of relaxation. Only a few drops are necessary to regain serenity and equilibrium and dispel tension and stress with greater insouciance.

Nesti Dante soaps (saponi) are prepared respecting the age-old tradition of the true Italian 'Saponeria' - the cauldron method. Nesti Dante remains one of only a few companies in the world that continue to use the handicraft method of saponification.

In September 1945, at the age of twenty, Dante Nesti started making soap in his own home in Florence with a small 50- liter cauldron. Today, the Nesti Dante brand is world-known for their traditional "cauldron style" production of quality soaps with beautiful packaging.

Soap was first used tens of centuries ago, but it was in Florence, when the Medici Family was in power, that soap-making became a real profession; the corporation of Master Soapmakers was formed under the noble Art of Physicians and Pharmacists, with an alley in the heart of Florence still bearing the name of the Via dei Saponai (Soapmaker’s street).
