Viennese Hazelnut Chocolate Recipe

Smooth and indulgent, Viennese hot chocolate is one of the most popular hot drinks when you're craving something sweet.

For 1 large mug:
250 ml of milk (whole, semi-skimmed or plant-based, according to your preferences).
40 g of dark or milk chocolate.
1 tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa.
1 tablespoon of sugar (adjustable).
1 tablespoon of raw hazelnut syrup.
Homemade or store bought whipped cream.

Preparation Steps
1. Heat the milk in a saucepan over low heat.

2. Add the chopped chocolate and let it melt while stirring with a spatula.

3. Incorporate the cocoa powder and sugar , then whisk to obtain a smooth and homogeneous texture.

4. Remove from heat and add the hazelnut syrup.

5. Pour the hot chocolate into a mug.

6. Add the whipped cream generously.

7. For a decorative touch, sprinkle with a little cocoa.
