Enchant your space with this home fragrance, an indulgence for the tastefully unhinged, in collaboration with the Edward Gorey Charitable Trust. The Haunted Tea Cosy is a sinister little spritz that smells like bergamot brewed in purgatory, with undertones of citrus and scandal from a spirit who still dresses for tea, bitter marmalade, and the faint regret of a teacup murder never solved. Ghostly. Steeped. Dusty-charm.

Notes:
Bergamot, Tonka, Black Tea, Spectral Musk.

Smells Like:
A warm cup of over-steeped tea, infused with flowers and citrus.

To collaborate with the Edward Gorey Trust was less like a professional venture and more like a long-awaited séance with a beloved muse. Gorey's world, exquisitely drawn, wryly sinister, and curiously elegant, is an enchanting realm of mischief and magic. It began, as these things often do, with a lingering odor in the east wing, something between old camphor and unanswered questions. Edward Gorey, ever the aesthete of dust and unease, sought not to eliminate the scent but to complicate it. In spirited cahoots with Heretic Parfum, he devised a room spray for interiors where the air deserved better, places heavy with books, whispers, and upholstery of dubious origin.

To awaken the atmosphere:

1. Enter the space with purpose, or at least a vague sense of curiosity.

2. Hold the bottle upright and aim toward the middle of the room, where the atmosphere seems most emotionally complicated.

3. Spritz generously into the air, avoiding chandeliers, houseplants, and brooding relatives.

4. Wait as the scent unfurls like a polite specter; charming, mysterious, and just possibly up to something.

5. Breathe deeply. Sigh theatrically. Works wonders on musty corners and awkward silences.

Heretic Parfum was founded in 2010 by master perfumer Douglas Little. They call themselves Heretics because they're different than traditional fragrance houses. As innovators in the clean beauty space, they work with safe synthetics and naturally-derived ingredients—right down to their organic sugarcane alcohol base. They blend by hand in small batches like ancient perfumers and alchemists. Heretic is for the customer who is seeking unique, seductive, and earthy scents.
