Prevention Picks: 12 Products Our Editors Say Are Must-Haves for August
At Prevention, we take pride in picking the best products for our readers. Our mission has always been to highlight top-rated, expert-backed selections that truly solve a problem for you, make your day easier, or bring joy to your life.
That’s why we curate Prevention Picks each month, where our editors hand-select products that have genuinely made a difference in their lives. From brand-new launches to tried-and-true favorites, we shout out beauty products worth your money, fitness gear that will elevate your workouts, convenient gadgets for your home, healthy food that stands out from the rest, and so much more.
For August, we’re sharing the best products that will upgrade your daily routine and picks that will help you savor the last month of summer. We’re talking everyday essentials, like comfy walking shoes that you’ll want to live in (including your next go-to pair of white sneakers!), and new favorite finds, like a refreshing iced tea we love sipping on and a pickleball starter bundle (because we’re betting pickleball is your latest hobby right now, too). We can’t forget all our beauty must-haves, either, like a hydrating cleanser, a glow-boosting vitamin C serum, and a makeup setting spray that will help your makeup stay put all day—even in the summer heat.
Eau d'Italie Tea & Rose Hand & Body Lotion
I was fortunate enough to visit the iconic Le Sirenuse Hotel in Positano, Italy on my honeymoon last year—possibly the most idyllic, gorgeous place I have ever been, filled with vibrant Mediterranean decor, breathtaking ocean and mountain views, and of course, the scent of the local fresh flowers, plants, and sea water filling the air. This body lotion from the hotel’s fragrance line, Eau d’Italie, lets me bring the aroma home thanks to light notes of the Italian citrus fruit bergamot, lily of the valley, rose, and fresh greens. I love that the lotion not only softens skin but can also take the place of perfume on days when you don’t want to spray something heavy. —April Franzino, Beauty Director
