More

The soap maker who makes ULILI scented soaps, is one of the best in his line of work in Morocco.

His experience is also enriched by a family legacy in the production of olive oil. This important partner uses the harvested olive oil from his own fields in order to craft ULILI scented soaps.

The Process: More than 3000 years ago, the Babylonians had invented the fundaments of cold processed saponification. This low-temperature manufacturing process preserves the benefits and properties of the olive oil and beeswax contained in Ulili soaps. The prickly pear seeds grant our soap bars with a speckled texture pear seeds. This ingredient helps to smoothly exfoliate the skin.

The Benefits: Ulili revisited the traditional Beldi soap (in Moroccan Arabic : Beldi stands for traditional). Just like for traditional beldi soap, the main ingredient in Ulili's soaps is olive oil. It undergoes saponification in a cold process. Like after a scrubbing session in the "Hammam" steam room, the exfoliating and moisturizing benefits of the prickly pear as well as the freshness of the floral fragrances of Ulili soaps will leave a silky and scented layer on your skin.

The Emblem: Each "Beldi" soap from Ulili's range is stamped with an emblem. On each emblem, the name and main ingredients of the soap fragrance are written in arabic letters. The calligraphy is inspired by classic Maghrebian coins.

The packaging invokes a memory of the packagings of our childhood popular card game "Ronda". The emblems and packagings are illustrated by Ayoub, a young illustrator known for the posters of the Gnaoua Essaouira festival as well as "L'Boulvard" festival in Casablanca.

Brand Info

Once upon a time, there was a fertile plain in Morocco.

It was called ULILI by our ancestors. They named it after a small tree which colorfully adorned the plain with gorgeous pink and white roses.

On such fertile land, the Romans built Volubilis, where seven centuries later, Idriss became king. Today, only a few remnants and a mausoleum remain, adorned as always by the thriving colorful flora.

Just like the flowering tree whose essence bears the memory of a thousand years, ULILI candles in their amber wax capture the fragrant memories that inhabit the Moroccan imagination.
