Louise Rose Wax Bust

Louise and Alexandre were the children of architect Alexandre - Theodore Brongniart (1739-1813), famous for designing the Stock Exchange building in Paris and transforming the Pere Lachaise Cemetery.
The sculptures of the Brongniart's children made in 1777 by Jean-Antoine Houdon express with strength and tenderness this passion for a subject that never became old-fashioned. As a matter of interest, the two busts remained in the Brongniart's family until they were purchased by the Louvre - Louise in 1898, and Alexandre in 1900.

Enchanting wax sdulptures in the memory of men, women and children who have marked our history. Cire Trudon has brought back to life the lovely tradition of wax sculptures to be collected rather than consumed.

The many centuries-long experiences of the Trudon company makes them wax producers with unrivaled know-how. Skillful and demanding, Trudon draws all its talent from its wax producers without neglecting innovation for perfecting its waxes.

Trudon keeps a little secret when it comes to manufacturing: candle wax made with the highest quality of natural wax produced from rice, soya and copra (coconut kernel), forming a unique mixture, to be blended with perfume for perfect candles that go on burning.

The candle wicks are made from pure cotton. The candles do not contain any substances on the Greenpeace OSPAR list. No heavy metals or pesticides are involved in their manufacturing and they are entirely biodegradable.
