In Greek mythology, the Hesperides were the nymph guardians of a garden with precious “golden apples”: citrus fruits. Divinities, zests, gaiety... the ingredients and spirit needed to design a perfume with a sparkling, green freshness: the fruit scents become stronger with spicy notes and gain a new vivacity that is dapper and diabolically elegant.

Legend has it that an angel visited a queen of Central Europe and gave her the formula of a scented water immensely beneficial to one's wellbeing. Today, diptyque reinterprets this eau in a collection encompassing two olfactory variations: Les Hespéridés (citrus scents) and Les Florales (floral scents).
The Diptyque story began in Paris at 34 boulevard Saint-Germain with, at its heart, three friends driven by the same creative passion. Christiane Gautrot was an interior designer, Desmond Knox-Leet, a painter, and Yves Coueslant, a theater director and set designer. The first two collaborated designing fabrics and wallpaper for Liberty and Sanderson.
The collection of personal fragrances, skincare and home fragrances are imprinted with a distinctive and particular olfactory signature. The creations express themselves in unusual ways to delight loyal and initiated fans and enlightened novices.
