Peppermint Drinking Chocolate
72% Madagascar - Sambirano
This rich and velvety European style drinking chocolate is handcrafted using ethically sourced cacao beans from the Sambirano Valley of Madagascar and mixed with crushed pieces of peppermint candy.
Add 1/4 cup drinking chocolate and whisk vigorously over low heat until all chocolate is completely melted, or blend using an immersion blender until all chocolate is uniform in consistency.
Pour into an expresso mug, sip and enjoy.
For a lighter version use water; for decadence, use cream.
Also exceptional in desserts, mochas, on ice cream, etc.

The most hands-on approach they could take was to start with raw cacao. They then sourced the finest fair-trade cacao and turned the raw ingredients into delicious chocolate in their small factory in Eureka, California. The entire process takes about three weeks, but allows them to make some of the finest chocolate possible. Using organic cacao and cane sugar and not cutting corners in their processes, they are able to leave out vanilla, additional cocoa butter and other emulsifiers in hopes of capturing and highlighting the subtle flavor nuances in the cacao they source from around the world.
