Perfume Architecture CDG2 Eau de Parfum
Limited Edition Packaging created by Lindy Foss-Quillet and Frederic Couderc.
Plays with complements and contrasts... with reflection and opacity... with mirrors and brilliance... with light and shadow... with earth and the energy of the sun.
Why we’re addicted: This fragrance is an unusual alliance representing the Japanese art of calligraphy. Light and Shadow; ink and paper.
Ink, Incense, Amber, Labdanum, Patchouli, Chinese, Cedarwood, New Aldehydes, Cumin, Angelica Root, Vetiver, Cade Oil, Absolute Maté, Magnolia, Absolute Folia.
Lindy Foss-Quillet and Frederic Couderc explore new dimensional concepts around three Comme des Garçons classics.
Fred as a carpenter is the outfitter for all the pop-up shops and is used to creating an environment in which to showcase CDG products so in a way its like he created a mini individual stage for each perfume bottle.
Lindy is both a painter and a perfume connoisseur. She coordinated the color choices and the finishing touches to the different materials.
"We both love the original pebble stone shape of the perfume bottle and we didnt want to cover it or hide it or re-design it. So we thought: Lets make a casing in which you can see the perfume bottle but its trapped in some kind of scaffolding. We wanted to do something a bit spectacular and make a strong but simple visual impact. The idea was to create a contrast between a beautifully designed high-end product like CDG 2, Wonderwood or Amazing Green and an industrial-looking architectural structure made with everyday materials like plastic, metal and bolts."
