Santa Maria Novella Products
One of the world's great fragrances, this classic cologne with a citrus base, was created for Catherine de Medici, who, when she went to France to marry Henry II, brought her personal perfume-maker with her.
There are various versions of the legend which explain how the "Acqua della Regina" (Water of the Queen) came to be commercialized as a cologne. Still hand-formulated in Florence, this remarkably light and fresh scent combines the provocative citrus and bergamot with subtle white flowers and deeply exotic spices.
Why we're addicted: It's coveted by men and women alike, a unique aroma that's timeless and perfectly modern.
Size: 100 ml
Calabrian Bergamot, Citrus Notes, White Flowers, Spices.
Acqua di S.M.Novella is Officina Profumo Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella’s oldest fragrance. It is the perfume that Caterina de’ Medici commissioned the Dominican monks to create in 1533, and she took it with her to France when she married Enrico di Valois. For this reason this fragrance is identified as a perfume rather than with a cologne. It is a bouquet of fresh citrus notes with a base of Calabrian bergamot.
