Jardin du Počte – “The Poet’s Garden”, a fragrance to evoke Sicily and all things Sicilian. This fragrance was a challenge to the husband and wife team behind Eau d’Italie, Marina Sersale and Sebastian Alvarez; could they create a fragrance using classic Italian notes like bitter orange and basil, yet remain faithful to Eau d’Italie’s philosophy of being deliciously original and uncompromisingly contemporary? Indeed they could with the help of perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour and two years of intense development.
The top notes of Bitter Orange and Grapefruit, supported by Basil – all natural extracts – are combined with a nearly imperceptible trace of Angelica Rose and a heart of helicchrysum, an Italian flower also known as Immortelle. The foundation of this fragrance can be found in the notes of cypress and vetiver with radiant traces of musk.
