“A rose enshrined in resins”. The golden temples of Paestum shine on a southern Italian landscape. Celebrated in Ovid and Virgil's poetry, the mysterious origins of Paestum's roses are lost in time: thought by some to be of a local species, others believe they were an acclimatised variety imported from the Orient. What is certain is that they flowered twice a year and their scent was unrivaled. This is a contemporary take on the legendary origins of Italian perfume making. In harmonic contrast with incense and myrrh, the roses of Paestum are thus reborn crystallised in a frame of exotic resins. A deep and lingering fragrance that evolves in a complex and uniquely evocative way.
