Is the first truly feminine floral created by the team behind Eau D’Italie; Marina Sersale and Sebastian Alvarez-Murena. With mixed notes of water lily, bitter orange leaves, fig, rose bud, jasmine, cedar and amber, this startlingly modern romantic floral was inspired by a famous Italian love story almost 100 years old. At the turn of the century, the ravishing Princess Vittoria Colonna, disciple of romanticism meets the avate-garde futurist painter Umberto Boccioni. In the gardens of her villa surrounded by the cool, placid waters of the Lake Maggiore, the married princess falls deeply in love with the modernist painter. Thus a love affair began between these two complete aesthetic opposites: the beautiful, romantic Vittoria and the hard-edged revolutionary modernist Umberto. A homage to this love affair amid the glorious summer gardens on the lake Maggiore is the inspiration for AU LAC: a fragrance that embodies deep romanticism with a surprising twist of modernism.
