Positano. An ancient village set on Italy’s spectacular Amalfi Coast, perched upon cliffs that rise almost vertically from the Mediterranean. A place of intrigue and romance, of myths and legends, where dreams and reality intertwine. Sea breeze and fresh scent. Citrus groves and verdant scrub. Magnolias, bergamot and buds of blackcurrant. A hint of musk, a note of incense. EAU D'ITALIE is a new concept in the world of perfume. Like flinging open a window in Positano, the legendary cliff-side Italian town where this fragrance was born. Inspired by the enchanting aromas of the Mediterranean and the refined charm of Le Sirenuse, EAU D'ITALIE is a uniquely Italian fragrance.
*Accord in French indicates a note made up of various other notes. In EAU D'ITALIE the notes which make up the Accord are earthy, mineral. For example, we used Tuberose, but only the mineral part of the note, not the flowery part. In fact, this Accord is the heart around which we built the fragrance, and we called it Argile - clay in French - because that was what we had in mind.
At the close of the Second World War, four siblings from the noble Neapolitan Sersale family, reunited at their 18th century summer home. Together, they decided to convert the palazzo into a luxury boutique-hotel. Le Sirenuse opened in 1951, overlooking its namesake: the Islands of the Sirens. Today, this award-winning hotel offers five-star comforts without losing the atmosphere of the original family home.
Now, inspired by this enchanted place, the Sersale family brings you the signature fragrance of Le Sirenuse… EAU D'ITALIE.
