The Hermine pictured on the bottle is the emblem of Brittany and on Brittany's flag. According to legend, under Queen Anne de Bretagne (late 1400) the Hermine was being hunted for its fur. One day while Anne de Bretagne was hunting the Hermine, she saw a Hermine stopping in front of mud instead of trying to escape. Anne suddenly realized that the animal prefered to be killed rather than be dirty.

She than decided that the courageous behavior of the Hermine should represent all the Breton (better dead than dirty) and the animal could not be hunted anymore.
