Applications:
Exfoliant: Using your fingertips, apply a thin layer of the gel้ on your face (and/or backs of hands). Avoid the eye area and neck. Leave on for 5 minutes, then rinse well with cool water.

Caution: Due to a rapid increase in circulation and response to the low pH, skin may temporarily appear reddened. Most often, the redness is not associated with a burning feeling although there may an initial tingling feeling. The redness is a healthy response that causes circulating blood in the capillaries to flood the subcutaneous tissues with oxygen, nutrients and hydration – all contributing to healthier, better nourished skin. Depending on the skin type, the redness gradually diminishes over a period of 10 to 60 minutes after the skin is rinsed and brought back to a normal pH by using an ISUN Hydrating Mist or any other ISUN product.

Caution For Sensitive Skin: This product is not recommended for sensitive skin which may react more adversely to the acidic pH. In this case, an intense burning feeling may be experienced with increased redness. Please note, should this occur, the burning and redness are only temporary and will go away without damaging the skin. In fact, the skin is benefited by the influx of nutrition in the tissues and the resulting renewed complexion. However, despite the longer term benefits, we caution sensitive skin types not to use the Intense Exfoliant.

Remedies: Redness or any burning, stinging or irritation resulting from use of the Intense Exfoliant, can be quickly relieved by applying one (or more) of 4 ISUN products: Rose-Cucumber Hydrating Mist; After Sun Mist; After Sun Mask; or Blue-Green Algae Mask. The 2 mists are quick to use and have an instant cooling effect. The After Sun Mask is the most excellent product we know for calming, cooling and healing any burning or redness. For a severe reaction (rarely experienced), best is to immediately mist with the After Sun Mist, saturate skin with cool or cold water and remove all traces of the mask. Then quickly apply a thick layer of the After Sun Mask.

Exfoliant Double Layer Mask: This is a highly effective treatment used in the ISUN signature facial. After cleansing, apply a thin layer of Intense Exfoliant to the face and backs of hands. Follow this with a generous layer of Honey-Goji Berry Mask. The Honey-Goji Berry Mask may be applied around the eyes and on the lips. Leave this mask on for 15 minutes or longer then rinse off.

With this mask, the Intense Exfoliant will rapidly soften the skin, stimulate circulation and act as a carrier of the wealth of nutrients including skinsoftening enzymes into the skin. The result is a gorgeous, rejuvenated, bright glowing complexion with a super soft feel to the touch.

To further enhance the exfoliating benefits, after removing the mask, gently scrub the skin with the Rhassoul Refining Exfoliant according to the directions above. This removes any softened exterior skin to expose a fresh new skin. The combined effect is similar to receiving a facial peel without having any ongoing peeling.

Usage:
Exfoliant: 1-3 times a week. Mask: 1 time per week.
