The name, Fiat Luxe - “let there be light”, is inspired by the ever present flickering of life and luminescence displayed in nature. Fiat Luxe soap is beautifully handcrafted to blend color, form, texture and fragrance to delight your senses. In honor of nature’s dazzling purity and essence they're committed to using the finest natural ingredients as close to the source as possible, whether it be fibers, essential oils, botanicals, or clays.
Family and friends were the first to receive their unevenly cut chunks of soap. They discovered beautiful molds and cosmetic clays and a never ending array of essential oils and were inspired with encouragement from the community to unleash their creative juices.
From the very beginning Fiat Luxe made a commitment to use only natural ingredients, sourced from their local community as much as possible. They do not use cheap synthetic fragrances. Each soap is scented only with botanically derived essential oils, which are added generously so you may experience the aroma down to the last sliver. Their cold process soap is made in small batches, by stirring vegetable oils with a lye solution until thick, pouring it into molds and letting it sit undisturbed for a couple of days before turning it out and hand cutting the partially cured soap into bars or popping the saponified solution from its molds. The cut or molded bars of soap are then cured in ventilated trays for three to four weeks before they are ready to use and will last longer if allowed to dry between uses. Because their soap is handmade in small batches to ensure freshness and quality, slight variations may occur and add to the charm of the soaps.
